Who I am
Peter Krockenberger was born in the Barossa Valley, South Australia, when people still spoke German in the street. Coming to Sydney at age two, he learnt English at four and worked his way up to the top hundred in NSW Higher School Certificate first-level English.
He went to the University of Sydney for a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Philosophy, and to the University of New South Wales for a Bachelor of Laws. He is admitted as a Solicitor but not currently practising.
After ten years hanging around universities — naturally pedantic by disposition — Peter started proofreading and editing on a charitable basis for friends and relatives, mainly scientists working on their PhDs. He also did German-to-English translations of academic work. The word spread.
For the past decade he has worked on every conceivable kind of document: fiction, non-fiction, poetry, PhDs, journal articles, government reports, a philosophy book, several novels, and instruction manuals. You name it, he's brought it up to a publishable standard.
